Wireless Disaster Recovery Firewall Data Center Consolidation Vulnerability Assessment Audio/Video
Client Profile Our client, a New Jersey County goverment, has invested considerable resources in information technology as part of its ongoing efforts to improve the quality and scope of services available to its constituents. In order to mitigate against a man-made or natural disaster that would disrupt the availability of those resources, the County contracted with RAMe Communications to design and implement a disaster recovery site with the capacity to provide continuity of operations for critical information systems.
Our design used VMware ESX Server platforms (one for production, one for disaster recovery) in two locations with replication of servers and data to provide an extremely fast time to recovery. A recent Disaster Recovery test scenario worked perfectly and the County is confident that it can quickly recover from a real disaster.
A significant benefit to the project has been the consolidation and standardization of the County's server farm. Over 30 production servers have been migrated to the VMware ESX.
